Spring is so nearly here, you can almost see the sun trying to fight off this never ending winter and the bulbs and bright colours will be here before we know it. Well that’s what I keep telling myself anyway!
Anything that brightens up this cold and dreary March is a good thing in my book, which is why Barry M have bought a big smile to my face with these gorgeous new Gelly Hi-Shine colours released especially for the new season. I was delighted to try these two gorgeous colours; Papaya a gorgeous peachy/coral shade and Greenberry my new favourite shade for the whole season, a stunning mint green.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Greenberry
As well as the colours, I was keen to try Gelly Hi-Shine as I’ve heard great things about the formula and not had a chance to put it to the test myself yet. Thankfully they lived up to my expectations, the colours transfer fantastically from bottle to nail, with a good, opaque colour from the first coat. I always apply two coats and a top coat to extend the wear time but the colour with these was pretty opaque with just one coat and they were ultra shiny after two coat and they definitely give the Sally Hansen a good run for their money in the gloss stakes.

Greenberry and Papaya
The colour lasted around 3/4 days without chipping which is about standard for a quality polish on my nails, so I’m happy. Look out for my Greenberry nails every week until they bring out some new colours for summer, can’t wait to try some of the other shades in the range!
You can buy Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine from barrym.com for £3.99 each.
Have you tried any of this range? Which is your favourite shade?
