Can’t Live Without…….

There are some products I reach for every day without fail, and I thought I would share a few current favorites  Some are fairly new additions to my routine and some I’ve been using for years and years, but all of them are definitely indispensable at the moment!

Makeup Bag….

Pur Minerals – 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Makeup

I am in love with this compact! You can read the full review here, but in short I have worn it almost every day since it arrived. It has a great coverage so I don’t need to worry about applying concealer first, and it lasts all day.

YSL – Touche Eclat

This product needs no introduction. I swear by this light reflecting concealer to disguise my under eye circles, which can often make me look like I’m sporting two black eyes! I’ve tried lots of dupes but really nothing comes close to brightening up my face.

MUA – Undressed Eye Shadow Palette

Having around twenty different Eye Shadow palettes should mean that I’m sporting a different look every day of the week. However, I will confess that I’m a big believer in “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” at least for my every day makeup. When I’m rushing around getting ready for work, I want something I can use quickly that I know will look good and I adore this palette for doing just that. Made up of gold and neutral tones, I wear it most days and also dress it up for a gold smoky eye for nights out. Priced at £4 it’s probably my best value makeup product ever!

MaxFactor Masterpiece Mascara

I’ve tried more mascaras than I could ever write about, but I always come back to this old favourite. The plastic wand has just the right length teeth to comb through the lashes, which is really good for separating and giving definition. Plus the formula of the mascara itself is really good; not too wet and a really deep black. I wear this every day and would be lost without it.

Bathroom Cabinet…

Avon African Shea Butter & Chocolate Truffle Body Souffle

I’ve made no secret of how much I love this body butter. I love the smell of it, I love the light shimmer it leaves and how soft it makes my skin. I also love the price! Smothering yourself in this after a bath is bliss!

Temple Spa – Dual Act Cleansing Gel

This cream/gel formula cleanser is lovely to use. It’s calming and leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean. I use it on dry skin, massaging it in and then removing with a hot flannel morning and night. It’s very clever as it manages to remove oil and shine from my T-zone but not dry out the rest of my face, ideal for combination skins.

Temple Spa – Moisture to Go

I also use the Temple Spa moisturiser every morning. It’s absorbed super quickly which is great when I’m in a hurry as I can put my makeup over the top straight away. It manages to keep my skin really moisturised but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy.

Mitchum Deodorant

Definitely not the most glamorous of beauty products but it definitely falls into the essential category. This is one of the only deodorants I’ve found that actually lasts the 24 hours they all claim to and doesn’t leave a horrible sticky feeling!

Handbag….

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Balm

This has all the luxury of traditional Eight Hour Cream but in a balm formula which is lighter and doesn’t leave that gloopy feeling on your lips! This is really good for heavily chapped lips and has been in my handbag throughout this cold and horrible winter! Plus, I don’t know why but there’s something that feels quite glam about using this one instead of an old-fashioned ChapStick!

Denman Anarkitty Styling Brush

I swear by Denman brushes, traditional and well made, they last forever! I carry this limited edition version in my handbag to keep my hair in check when the wind makes me look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards! It’s really gentle on my hair and removes any tangles and static and gives a really shiny finish.

BioSculpture Top Coat

This is the best clear varnish I’ve tried. It dries quickly to a really high shine and it doesn’t crack to leave those really annoying lines on your nails. I keep this in my handbag for any last minute touch ups, or in a broken nail emergency – file it down, put on a new top coat and voila!

Paperblanks Diary

I can’t live without my diary, even in this technology-filled world that we now live in, I’ve never got used to using an electronic diary. Every year I buy myself a new paper diary, and I fell in love with this gorgeous one from Paperblanks. It comes every where with me so I don’t forget where I’m supposed to be and when….it doesn’t stop me from being late though!

What are your current can’t live without products? Have you tried any of these? I love hearing new recommendations so let me know!
